After years of wishing, perhaps upon a star, we have at last perfected the perfect sparkle yarn. We held many auditions until we found our starring blend, perfected the structure, giving it the correct amount of twist and sparkle. Finally, a star of a yarn is born. We are thrilled to announce our newest offering: Estrella! A glittery blend of fine superwash merino wool and lurex that sparkles like the Hollywood walk of fame. Unlike most sparkle yarns, where fine, short, sparkly threads are combed into the wool before spinning, Estrella’s structure is 2 plies of wool twisted with a 3rd ply of lurex. This means no shedding and no sparkly ends sticking out of the yarn. Additionally, this structure gives Estrella a refined, sleek look. Lurex has less heat sensitivity than stellina, so you don’t have to worry about lowering your dye pot’s temperature or changing up your acid. Thank your lucky stars, because Estrella takes heat beautifully, and the sparkle particularly pops when dyed bright or deep colors.
