March Mayhem 2025 - Dyers' Competition 5th Anniversary!!!!

We are so excited to be in the fifth year of our annual Dyers' Competition! It’s super simple, and you’ll have a chance to win up to $500 at Knomad. Knomad invites you to dye a masterpiece on any of our new bases* and be entered to win up to a $800 in Knomad Gift Cards! To enter: post your beautifully dyed skeins (all the same colorway, please) on your Instagram with the following information: the Knomad yarn used, and hashtags #KnomadMarchMayhem2025, #knomadyarn, and tag us using the "tag people" feature (knomad_yarn). Most importantly, please fill out this google form and submit a link to your post. The past years have been a lot of fun, and you brought your best. We can’t wait to see what this year brings, and at the end of the month, there will be three winners! One that you and your friends will decide by voting on Instagram, one set of minis/midis, and one randomly selected winner. Even if you’re eliminated from the brackets, you still have a chance to win!

DYER'S COMPETITION 2025: HOW IT WORKS?

Check all the steps of the competition and participate!

1. Dye a skein of knomad yarn – get creative! Natural dyes, acid dyes, any alternative dye matters and processes, speckles, kettle-dyed, self-striping, you name it. While there is only one entry per individual, you can have a few skeins of the same colorway in the photo OR a fade! If you have multiple posts, we will confirm which is your “final entry.”

2. Take a picture highlighting your skein’s beauty (photo quality is really important here!) + post it to your Instagram with the hashtag #KnomadMarchMayhem2025, #knomadyarn, and tag us using the "tag people" feature (knomad_yarn). Most importantly, please fill out this google form and submit a link to your post. Make sure you’re following Knomad on Instagram to be eligible!
3. There will be three winners:– One selected through a random name picker ($200 Knomad store credit) – One voted on with bracket voting by the Knomad Instagram community (Knomad will select a top few, and let the community do the rest). ($450 Knomad store credit), and one set of coordinating Minis or Midis voted on by everyone behind the scenes at Knomad.
4. Voting will occur on Knomad’s Instagram in the first two weeks of April. This is when you, your friends, and the Knomad community get to vote and choose our winners! Knomad staff will choose the top 4, and the community will vote from there. There will be a few rounds of voting- two preliminary stages and one final – all ultimately chosen by the Knomad community.
5. Lastly, Final winners will be announced for all categories on or by April 20th.

COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Competition will begin at 9:00 AM (PST) March 1st, 2025, and the deadline for entry is 9:00 PM (PST) on March 31st, 2025. Any entry received before or after the deadline will not be eligible. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees to all terms & conditions listed below. To enter the competition, the entrant must dye one skein or set of skeins in the same colorway (with any materials chosen, natural or acid) on a Knomad Yarn base of choice from the approved list above and post to their Instagram with hashtag #KnomadMarchMayhem2025. By entering the competition, you agree that Knomad Yarn has the right to use any images tagged with #KnomadMarchMayhem2025 in any marketing materials: newsletters, blog entries, Instagram, promotional materials, etc. Knomad reserves the right to modify the rules and prize terms at any time.

Eligibility:

This competition is available to residents of Canada and the USA. Entrants must be 18 and older unless participating with their guardian—maximum one entry per participant. Finished yarn must be on a Knomad base. Proof of purchase may be requested. Finished yarn must be posted on Instagram with the hashtag #KnomadMarchMayhem2025. Knomad employees are ineligible to win. And you must be following Knomad_yarn on Instagram to win.

Winner Selection:

Final Winners will be announced April 2othth.

Prizes:

Winner A will receive a $450 retail credit at Knomad.com. This holds a retail value and cannot be used in combination with a wholesale discount. Wholesalers ARE eligible to win. However, all products purchased with the reward will be at full retail value. Winner B will receive a $200 retail credit at Knomad.com, this holds a retail value and cannot be used in combination with a wholesale discount. Wholesalers ARE eligible to win. However, all products purchased with the reward will be at retail value. Winner C (mini category) will receive a $200 retail credit at Knomad.com, this holds a retail value and cannot be used in combination with a wholesale discount. Wholesalers ARE eligible to win.
