Fingering weight yarn is a lovely lightweight yarn perfect for a variety of knitting, crochet, and weaving projects. Fingering weight is also referred to as sock weight yarn, superfine yarn, size 01 yarn, 4-ply yarn (UK/AUS), and baby yarn. Fingering weight yarn is the second most commonly used yarn in knitting.  Fingering weight yarn is particularly favored for socks and shawls as well as lighter weight spring and summer sweaters.

These micro and mini-skeins are a dyer favorite for holidays, advents, and shawl kits. This weight can vary in construction from single-ply, to chainette, to a typical four-ply.
